Fireweed tops out.
(A few minutes ago, it looked like this:)
Chlorophyll production slows down.
Carotenoids and anthocyanins become exposed in leaves.
Cute little moose calves lumber into that awkward adolescent stage.
I am thoroughly enchanted.
